FIFA president Gianni Infantino arrived Nigeria yesterday on a two-day working visit.
Infantino flew into the Nigeria capital city Abuja Sunday evening accompanied by FIFA secretary general Fatma Samoura. The duo are making their first visit to Nigeria after the FIFA elections that brought them into office in February 2016.
He was received by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president Amaju Pinnick with 17 FA presidents from across Africa supporting him. He will pay a courtesy call to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, while a dinner will be staged in his honour later today.
Infantino is expected to attend a youth football final at the Abuja National Stadium on Monday before he departs the country.
